The DTS Group promotes diversity and inclusion in order to fully leverage each employee’s capabilities and is working to create upgraded work environments where everyone can thrive. We aim to achieve sustainable growth and enhance the Company’s competitive advantage by respecting and utilizing diversity with regard to gender, age, nationality, disability, and forms of employment.

Promoting diversity and inclusion

At DTS, we define diversity and inclusion as "a diverse workforce that recognizes each other's abilities and is able to maximize its own capabilities and thrive, regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion, educational background, work history, characteristics, hobbies, or preferences," and we are working to foster a culture in which each employee's individuality and abilities are recognized and respected.
Specifically, we implement diversity and inclusion training that is mandatory for all employees, and we actively hire mid-career talent from other industries and fields, with an emphasis on diversity.

Promotion of women's advancement

At our company, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of gender, and there are no gender-based differences in our personnel system. However, there is a disparity in the distribution of male and female employees by job grade compared to the proportion of female employees, which results in a gender pay gap. To create an environment where every individual, regardless of gender, can maximize their potential, we aim for a balanced distribution of male and female employees by job grade, and we are implementing measures to improve this.
In our medium-term management plan, we have set targets for fiscal year 2027 of having a female director ratio of 20% or more and a female manager ratio of 8.5%, and we are promoting the development of female talent.
As of the end of fiscal year 2025, the percentage of female directors is projected to be 20.0%, and the percentage of female managers is projected to be 5.4%.

FY2023 FY2024 FY2025
Female director ratio (%) 18.2 20.0 20.0
Ratio of female managers (%) 4.1 5.0 5.4

Promotion of next-generation upbringing support

DTS is committed to supporting employees in balancing work with childcare/nursing care.
For example, we are working to create an environment where employees, regardless of gender, who are raising children can work flexibly regardless of time or place, and we have introduced remote work and a flextime system with no core time.
Furthermore, as part of our efforts to promote the advancement of women and support the development of the next generation, we conduct "Diversity & Inclusion Training" for all employees to deepen understanding among all employees, including those directly involved and those around them, regarding our company's diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives and the awareness and behavior expected of our employees regarding D&I. This aims to promote the creation of a culture in which we can respect and enhance each other.
Through these measures, we aim to further improve work-life balance for both men and women, enabling them to balance work with childcare or nursing care, and to invigorate and grow the entire organization by creating opportunities for advancement in a wide range of fields.

Promoting employment of people with disabilities

DTS is promoting the employment of people with disabilities as one of its important initiatives. As a core part of this, we established DTS Palette, a special subsidiary, as a wholly owned subsidiary in 2011. We aim not only to create jobs as a corporate social responsibility, but also to create a workplace where people can work with peace of mind and enjoy long-term employment.

At DTS Palette, employees with a variety of disabilities, including visual, hearing, mental, intellectual, physical, and internal disabilities, utilize their unique abilities to engage in business support work for the DTS Group. They have supported the group for over 10 years, handling over 100 different tasks, including printing, logistics, and production.

In addition to continuing to improve the workplace environment and consultation system, we are also working on employment support, such as being commissioned to run the "Practical Skills Acquisition Training Course," a training program for people with disabilities commissioned by the Tokyo Job Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation. These efforts were recognized in October 2023, when the company was selected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a "Tokyo Disability Employment Outstanding Company" and received the "Disability Employment Excellent Company Award (Director-General of the Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs)."
